Ok, did you check to see if the grub screw that holds that gear in place didn't back out(there used to be a "To Do Thread" when you get a savage... don't know where it went)?? if it did... that gear will just spin and not ingage..... and you will usually have to take your tranny apart to put it back in.... check that, because it can cause alot of greef and cause more damage...
Sorry keep forgeting these things.. ummm.... was it an RTR savage or a kit SS savage?? if RTR you should take that crub srew out and locktite it even if it isn't whats wrong.... because it might become a problem later on....
No you are saying it is stuck in First right? i am not beeing a *****, but are you sure? Does you motor prematurly rev out? going very slow with motor screaming?... Now how much running have you done on that truck? it is possible that the spring and ball has to get replaced in the 2 speed.... but more often than not... i have seen the plactic "kind of" melt onto the 2 speed houseing, causing the little arm to just slide across the gear rather than engaging... or that crub screw comes loose....

RE: wont hit second gear
the truck aint tuned right to rich mixture you got s to lean a bit thats the price people pay you give up top end but the engine lasts longer try it i dont think the trany needs adjusting i think the engine does lean a bit and close the carb a bit as well so it dont idle to high always remeber when you lean the car it tends to rev high so lower(close) the carb a touch try it i think it should work
