RE: Monster Truck Rating formula. Who wins???
Dale, instead of using the actual cost. Maybe assigning a number relative to a cost bracket would be a more accurate representation. Start with the lowest cost as 100 dollars being a 1 200 is 2. Then for costs in between put them at a decimal place. Like the Cen on ehobbies is 280 so put it as 2.8, the T-maxx at all my local shops is 380, so it would be 3.8 and so on. Just an idea, what do you think?

Aww, it was fun. I encourage others to play with it... I am not going to put any more time into it. There are infinite ideas to do the math really, so have fun!

RE: Monster Truck Rating formula. Who wins???
This thread has stayed more civil than I thought it would. Of the 28 posts before this one
5 were from the original poster
10 were pretty much on topic about the formula, or at least civil comments.
7 were "this is better than that", or flames in some nature. And
6 were telling everyone to relax.
I figured it would end up all in flames.

RE: Monster Truck Rating formula. Who wins???
I think part of the reason it is staying civil is due to the fact that "better" is now a number. Regardless of what truck has the highest number, they are all pretty close. So, this kinda proves that all the trucks are about the same. And no, I am not saying this just because the Cen has the highest rating in the formula, as dale said it only has the highest rating because of a formula shortcoming.
