Whenever i pull the pull starter on my Hyper 21 8 Port, it feels like theres no compression or something b/c the rope just comes out. it doesnt "reel in" like it should

Your pull start is more than likely worn out. You need to purchase a new one, or better yet, upgrade to the roto start or a starter box

The same thing happened to me and i just bought a starter box. Its so much easier than a pull start and it will last alot longer. Its definately worth the money.

sounds like the one way bearing is slipping. You might want to clean the one way bearing with some nitro cleaner.
