hmmmmmmmmmmmm where to start ......

1st -- i have 3 of the TQ's .... take your time and reloctite everything or you will get disgruntled when stuff starts coming loose ... I MEAN EVERYTHING >>>> any metal to metal screw or nut ....

2nd -- as it was said ... your servo horn is still good you just have to turn it 90° and reattach the brake and throttle .... just be happy it didn't land on its wheels and you have your first run away !!!!

3rd -- check out this message board ... we are all tq owners ... over 100 of us .,.. good info there [link=http://extremercparts.com/forum/index.php]tq forum[/link]

4th -- as snowrider said ... check out the extreme page for upgraded parts for this truck ..

5th -- toss that glow plug warmer in the bottom of your toolbox and get a good rechargable one ... the stock one eats batteries like candy .... the rechargable one lasts for a good time before needing recharging ...

6th -- you can run in water ... but you need to "dip" your radio equipment before doing it (receiver and servos) here is a link on how to do that

[link=http://wisconsinnitro.com/index.cgi?action=viewnews&id=8]waterproofing[/link]

7th -- if you want a car look into getting the axis a-arms and drive shafts ... the axis uses the same chassis as the tq but not as wide ... just an idea for ya ...

if ya want to chat with me my instant messenger info is in my profile ... will be glad to help ya anyway i can ...

here is 1 of my tq's it has an xtm 24.7 , t-maxx wheel adapters , proline maxx mashers, aluminum diff cases , roll cage , tire chains (winter time when pic was taken)

dang man that things a beast...the only probem with me is that i dont have the funds to but all the parts for it.... and i did turn the "servo hornes" 90 degrese so not my throttle and brake works...i just dont know if i turn my throttle trim too far down cause when i turn off my remote (when car isnt running) the things that opens the throtle like totaly closes....now since my dad just got a new Rc truck (t-maxx) i can hopefully start buying more parts and really have some fun wid it

Its so cool to have a family of rc. Its too bad my dad could care less for it.[&o] In terms of speed i believe the tmaxx will win but i think the tq will take the maxx in handeling and the tq is bigger. You wioll both have lots of fun.

i make adapters for the TQ so you can run the t-maxx tires ... duratrax offers adapters ... but it requires you to take your truck apart and put in the universals for all 4 wheels ... then you also need to buy another set of front drive shafts for universals for the rear ...
the adapters i make just replace the wheel hub ... 1 screw and you are done ....

the tires in my pic are t-maxx tires ... proline maxx mashers ....

these tires don't take air .... they have foams in them ....i am not sure that the stock tq tires have foams though ... they are pretty stiff ....

here are the pics of the adapters ...
