Default Vapour lock

I am trying to get my T-maxx going for the first time. It is a used truck that has a HPI Nitro Star 15SS in it. I am completely new to this hobby so please be nice if I do not come off as a tuning genius. I have left the carb adjustments as they were when I got the truck as I do not know where to start. I filled the truck with gas 20%, plugged in the glow plug ingnitor (checked that it works) and then started pulling on the pull start. After around 30 pulls the cord stopped pulling back into itself, I thought I busted the pull starter spring but after taking the glow plug out the cord pulled back in. Any ideas why this would happen. I noticed gas was in the cylinder so why didn't it start????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Vapour lock

Dead glow plug or dead glow plug heater. The heater can have enough power to make the plug ignite at atmospheric pressure but not under compression...same goes for the plug, it can look alright, but under compression it fails...

The recoil shouldnt get stuck out though...interesting...
