Default Ugh!!!

After running the GT for about 2 tanks today I took a little break for a Coke and upon trying to restart the beast the pull start rope broke

I have never used the drill adapter so I didn't have it with me so it was done for the day. I was about 15 miles from home at a construction site and didn't want to go get the adapter so I just broke out the Savage and finished the day.

Anyone have any issues with the stock pullstart?

I did have a problem when I let someone else try and start my truck they pulled it out. I have run almost 4 gallons thru my truck and that was the 1st problem. Just took it off and rewound it no biggie..

BTW I only pull mine about 9 inchs. .thats all that is needed.. most of the time only 6. (no jokes please) hehe

Many jokes do come to kind but we'll let that go

I too don't yank on it that much and the truck usually starts on the 2nd or 3rd pull so I haven't used it that much. I too will just rewind it and go on.

No, i never had any pullstart problems with my stock MGT engine. In fact, it was one of the BEST RTR engines i've ever used. I wish my S25, or my stupid Fantom .27 was as good as that engine. In all fairness though, the other two guys at my track over the winter both had pullstart problems.

Well leave it to me to have a problem then.. But I did get the pullstart off but I can't seem to get the spring fully rewound into the body of the string holder so it will sit down inside the pullstart body deep enough to insert the shaft for the hex drive that has a groove cut in it to accept the e-clip. Am I doing this backwards or something?

My pullstarter on the MGt broke off after like a month and then i fixed it but then again it broke so I bought a drill and now only use the roto starter.

Well after fighting the stock engine yesterday I yanked it out and put in a new Hyper 8 port I had in the box.
