RE: Blue Thunder Gas
its some good stuff, its all ive used. its got this special antil lean protection that makes your engine cut and stall when your just about too lean. well i think alot of fuels have that formula. some people will tell you that blue thunder gunks up your engine, but i havent had anything like that happen.

Yes *gunk* is not a good thing, but you cant tell you have *gunk* until you decide to clean your engine(or it blows up JK) . I take mine apart every gallon and clean the crankshaft and put after run oil in everytime . Personally i think the blue thunder gas is some of the best. It's all i ever use. I have been running nitro offroad for about 2 1/2 years now and haven't had any probs with the blue thunder fuel ruining in my engine. Accually i have only destroyed one engine the whole time i have been running nitro trucks( BUT WHEN YOU TRY TO SEE WHICH IS TUFFER BETWEEN A .21 O.S. POWERED T-MAXX AND A FULL SIZE LEXUS[>:], Lets just say i basiclly had to buy a new engine[]. That was just over a year ago and since then i have tried my best not to test the durability factor of my trucks way beyond there limit anymore. Anyways i say yes blue thunder fuel is a good fuel.

RE: Blue Thunder Gas
My local shop does not and has not carried Blue Thunder since about 2 years ago. They had alot of complaints of erratic tuning using the Blue Thunder fuels.
I would never use it because it turns your engine blue inside, which means it can hide small scars from view. Also that crap they claim about a chemical that makes the engine run odd when lean...unproven and well all engines run crappy when lean...DUH.

RE: Blue Thunder Gas
ive been running blue thunder for th last 2 years...It seems that it doesn't run very good on big block engines and seems to be running better on small block engine in my case...maybe not but tahs just an observation I made during these last 2 years...i used it in a OS vz b engine and that engine didn't seem to like blue thunder at all...But i run it in a oS 18 and it works great...

Traxxas makes a good fuel. I have never heard any complaints from people who use it including myself. Just go online and buy like 1 1/2 gallons. That should last you a bit.

RE: Blue Thunder Gas
I have used BLue Thunder in my OS .12 for four years now and only replaced the piston and sleeve once. I do not feel that is bad considering I probably got about 5 gallons of fuel through it. Tuning is simple and the inside of my engine is fine, no gunk. But, I do a complete breakdown and reseal my engine every winter to keep it clean and good. I am not "brand" sensitive and am going to tell you good things becouse of the name, but I have no reason to say it is bad. I would have something to say on BLue Thunder in my Mach .26 in my new LST but Dynamite decided not to clean the metal crap out of it and it locked up. Just make sure you use the correct % and keep up on your engines maintenance and you should be fine with it. I have also run "Nitro scents" through it and saw no ill effects. "Hey, Is that coconuts I smell or Nitro Fuel???"

RE: Blue Thunder Gas
So how about Blue Thunder in an LST? I mean it's the same company so it would have to work well right?
(tell me it will, I just bought a gallon for $23.95 )
