GS Storm SUT or Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium.
Truggies have lower cg, are more durable, have drivetrains setup for .21 without breaking a sweat, etc.

Not sure on the XTM Mammoth, but I've heard it was a good truck. All it needs are some shocktower braces and it's pretty much a brick.
As for the Savage, it's considered more of a Basher. If you go with the Nova shocktowers and 1/8 buggy shocks, it can almost pretty much hold it's own. The only thing is due to the way it's designed (TVP), it's really a pain to wrench on.

Maybe a Revo would work out well for you. It's pretty tough from what I have sen them take and it's also pretty fast. Remember on the track you'll never get up to the max speed, acceleration and handling become the dominating factors unless of course you have a 1/4 mile straight away.
It's $479 from Tower Hobbies so you'll be saving quite a lot over some of those truggies. Dunno, just something to think about. I'm not a big brand specific guy (or I'd prolly say get a LST ) so from experiance it just seems a Revo might work out for you. Don't overlook the Tamiya TNX either though, it's new improved engine and lightened chassis makes it a bit faster and can pop wheelies like nothing.
