Default The Question Everyone Asks

Ok I'm sure you've all heard it a million times but I'm in search of a new MT. I currently have a Tmaxx that I've had ever since they first came out. I'm since then upgraded to the 2.5 and put many other mods on it. I was looking into the Revo, LST, and the Genesis. I don't plan on doing any racing.....just mainly backyard bashing and some driving on one of my friends motocross track. I want something durable and fast yet can handle jumps very well. I'd really like some input on this other than "this question has been asked a million time". Thanks!

I Really want the CEN but I don want the trouble they're having. The truck looks like it would be awesome if they could get the flaws fixed!

The LST breaks more than the Revo, so I would say to go with the Revo, no dout.

I've had little to no problems with my LST, so I would have to counter balance the above post.

If you go with a LST you'll be getting a truck quite a bit larger than your current truck. I'm not sure if you want that or not but to me that was certainly an advantage. Something different.

I won't go directly into the specific difference between these two trucks as I'm sure you already know by the countless posts everything there is to know about each in terms of features, specs, top speeds and more. At the time I bought my LST I had not seen a Revo drive yet except in the videos so I was going purely by the videos released by each corporation in which the Revo was portrayed as more of a Racer to me. I know the LST was the only truck actually filmed on a track but the low profile tires of the Revo to the smaller scale ultimately made me go for something larger, hence my LST. And I can't complain, in fact I'm going out to drive it now.

Just buy a Razorback or Bomb-Proof BL Truck and be done with.

Why do you even bother comparing these trucks? Do you have both of them? Inless someone has both of them they shouldnt try to compare them, I believe hes looking more towards peoples expiernces with these trucks not peoples guesses about the trucks.

Well anyways, i own a LST and Savage. My friend has a Mammoth and Mad Froce and i have driven them many times.. The LST no doubt out performs any of these trucks. Althought the Mammoth is in the same ball park as the LST handling wise and performance. The LST has so many nice features though. So if i could only choose one of these trucks it would be the LST.

Well hopefully that helps some, atleast give you some knowledge on how the LST performs compared to some other trucks.

Have you ran your LST next to a Tmaxx or Revo or been around them much? How does the size of the LST compare? Any complaints whatsoever with the LST?

I say get an LST for many reasons but if i could only pick 1 reason it would be the tranny's High/Low option. While its not needed for racing it is great for off the track.Typically i set it in high range to warm the truck up with a few high speed pases, then drop it down in low and hit the near vert hills or rock pile. Not only is the gear change quicker than with other trucks, its also a much lower ratio @ 51.5:1.Also if you ever decide to go racing you will allready have a stout ride, havent broken anything myself yet [sm=biggrin.gif]

Have fun with what ever you decide

Well i have never ran with a T-maxx, but i have seen a T-maxx run. I wasnt very satisfied by its performance, By watching it i would probly say its in the same ball field as a Savage handling and performance wise, but is definatly not near as durable as a Savage. The T-maxx is a little smaller then a Savage, and the Savage is a little smaller then the LST.

My only complaint with the LST is the axles so far. But Losi is working on stronger ones at the moment so it wonte be an issue.

And if i was you i wouldnt even consider a Genises ATM.... Noone can even get there Genises to shift to 3rd, There having tons of problems.

If you're looking for mid and low end power and excellent suspenesion and durability, I would definitely take alook at the Savage 25.
