I was on the traxxas website, and found out from a Traxxas employee that traxxas is shipping out the 2nd shipment of REVOS out around the 28th of August and thru out September. They also have beefed up some stuff on the truck to make it more durable. So to all that haven't gotten there REVOS yet like me they are coming soon. Oh and they are sending out shipments to Canada mid September.

What do you mean 2nd shipment. All of the shops around me have been getting them regularly. I hope to buy one pretty soon. Hopefully i get one that is stronger than the initial release.

The reason I started this forum is because so many people haven't gotten one yet. Yes I have read that a lot of shops have them but here where I live we haven't gotten any yet. Plus on the traxxas site they have a forum on not getting any yet so I figured I'll let everyone know what's going on. I have even read here on rcuniverse that people still not having one. It's strange I know but every hobbyshop hasn't even received one. Matter of fact I read here that an owner of a hobby shop hasn't received any and that he had 10 pre-ordered and cause the wait has been so long he had to give back the money and they bought'em from Tower hobbies. Now he's going to get 10 revos and not going to be able to move them. I have pre-ordered my-self as others have at our lhs and we could do the same but that would only hurt the hobby cause as we all know if you have a lhs near you, you should try and support it.

Actually an employee aka(Tire Smoke) for Traxxas posted this info in one of the posts. I was just passing on the info for people who might want to know. So I guess yes a press release.

If your LHS has a lot of Revos then they are one of the few . Frankly I have seen two run and was impressed with how they handle. Saw some huge jumps and flips without any damage. Owners said rod-ends are on'y probelems they have had which was easily fixed. Seems to have been a pretty good first release as far as problems go;but anything can be improved as far as thse RTR MTs go.

The part that is getting beefed up is the rod-ends since they had a 150 revo get reported for that problem. Plus from the site that is the only thing people have been complaining about. Besides the fact that the 2.5R isn't easy to tune, and people not being able to shift to second gear. But I don't care what the problem is I just can't wait to get one. I have seen some run at my lhs track but that's about it. And the two guys that have them went to Ga to get them. If I wasn't so loyal to my lhs I would have done the same. Anyway's that's the scope on the revo and upgrading part(s).

I too think the suspension works quite well on this truck.

I have Three hobby shops that I frequent. Two of the shops didnt have any in stock and said I would have to be placed on a waiting list. The third shop had four sitting right on the floor. Its just a matter of what shop you go too. The third shop also had three LSTs in stock. Its funny because these guys dont have as much knowledge as the first two, but they always have what I want in stock and they also know whats hot in RC.

I know what you mean. Cause two hobby shops which one is about an 1 hour away and the other about 30 mins away have revos in stock and neither has an off road track. They aren't really that knowledgeable about r/c anything. My lhs has a offroad track and they now about everything in rc and didn't get one. It's like the shops that don't have tracks are getting them, like I went to Kentucky from the 5th of Aug - 12th of Aug and while I was there I went to hobby town USA looking for info about a local track and they tell me they haven't had a track in about 12 yrs. So while I was there I walked around looking at what they had cause they were mostly airplane, helis, and boats. Then I walk around the corner to see about 5 revos. I ask the manager about them and he says he can't even sell them cause no one in the area are interested.

What I've heard is that whatever shops historically buy the most $'s worth of goods are being serviced first... So, whether it be plane stuff, boat stuff, etc etc. That's why distribution seems kind of odd. Also, if you're a COD customer, forget it until the distributor runs out of prepaids.

popa71 I wanted to ask you if yall have any big events there in phila, or wilmington like on-road races or offroad. Like here in fort walton beach,fl every year we have an event called Battle at the beach. It's where we invite alot of other clubs to race for a two day event. We have a club from baton rogue, La that alway's comes, plus we have racers from ga, bama, mississippi, texas, and north & south carolina that all come and race. It's normal about 130 entrants and about double that in actually r/c racing cause most people are racing two to three classes. Oh it's off-road racing. We race stock & mod buggy & stadium truck, plus we have stadium nitro trucks and monster trucks, 4wd mod buggy, and the mini-t which is also a open class. It's lots of fun and some really fast racing. If any one wants to come to the next Battle of the beach let me know and I'll post the dates and time.
