I thought I saw some people saying the stock TNX chasis flexes a bit much? Don't know how true it is. I saw it on Terracrusher.net.

yesthe stock chassis can flex, which many people have considered the reason for striped spur gears, i havent had any problems with this yet. and it can be fixed by strenghting the buttom part.

I have not had any broken parts yet....so far the TNX has been really durable.
I have since I got it replaced the cooling head. Its pretty soft cast Alum. I replaced it with a machined Nova head.

Yeah....its the head for the .18 CVR, the head fits fine but the stock head screws are too short. they are 2.5mm x 10mm.
So I replaced them with 2.5mm x 15mm screws.

Guys were telling me the stock head screws were stripping out the top of the crankcase from to little threads holding on the head....Once they put on the 15mm screws there were no problems....So I followed their advise....And I'm not having any problems....

what's up everyone... i'm new to the monster truck world and the last time i owned an rc truck was probably 20yrs ago. after a month of researching i picked up a tnx. it's f'n awesome, i've been smokin my friends' savages and lst. but anyways... i was wondering if anybody out there has a customized body on there tnx? i own a lifted toyota tacoma and i wanted my tnx to look like it. this there any company that makes clear 1/8 or 1/10 scale toyota tacoma bodies? that's for the help

i just bolted on a duratrax .17 header and an rc10gt pipe to the beast.

not sure, but i think i see some top end improvement. not much tho.

bottom end screams tho.

i was lookin all over but cant find a body wide enough for this thing. i measured, it must be at LEAST 8.9 inches wide [sm=stupid.gif]

www.prolineracing.com has a few bodys(u can only buy them in clear version, altho u do get stickers), u can also get the stock body(clear)

ill be getting just the stock TNX body and give it a nice paintjob , if u want clear stock body, look in your parts list in 1 of the manuals. It will have a partnumber and your LHS shhould be able to order it.

nex, you own a savage and a tnx. i found out that the stock savage 21 body(the nitro gt body) is a tacoma. i got hooked up with a clear 21 body and painted it silver like my real truck and cut out all the HPI stickers[:'(]. it's on my tnx now! it looked kinda funny to me at first cause the body was much smaller then the stock tnx body but it's grown on me and i haven't put my stock body every since. i'll post some pics of it later tonight along with the rd logics pipe pics. later.

to mount the TMaxx powerstrokes u have to trim the inside part of the upper a-arms to allow clearance for the bypass shock..thats it...

My TNX w/powerstrokes just TQ'ed Outlaw MT by over 10 Seconds today...a-mains are tomorrow...
