Look at this electric motor comparsion, guys! (E-maxx loses!)
** From http://www.mabuchi-motor.co.jp/engli...set/set_1.html **
RS-550VC (The E-Maxx motor) : RPM; 19800 (14,4v) TORQUE; 588 mN-m OUTPUT 119 W
RS-775WC ,Range up to 20 v. : RPM; 19500 (18v) TORQUE; 1215 mN-m OUTPUT; 273 W
If there is any truck with twin 775 motors out there.... it would beat the hell out of any nitro truck!

There's a company that makes a DeWalt 820 conversion for the E-maxx. It's massive!!!
However, look at the motors you are comparing to... Why compare a 14.4 volt Titan to a motor that claims it can take up to 20 volt. While were at it, why don't we compare a 454 V8 to a DOHC I4??? Common sense that a 775 is going to beat a 550...

lol, instead of the conversion, go buy a DeWalt power drill and just yank the motor.
Still though, Electrics will usually trounce a nitro off the line.

you know that a high quality brushless system will probably beat the dewaly conversion on speed but maybe not torque

Kershaw claims a brushless system will not beat their DeWalt 820HD set-up. I'm not really sure myself. Either way, they are both plenty of $$$$ and will have plenty of POWER!!!

I noticed they only compare it to the Novak Brushless setup.

Are you people doubting the power of brushless? you guys have no clue... lol
warrior 9918 brushless controller ($200) and feigio 9L motor ($85).
From what i've been hearing, an emaxx with just one of these systems, will top out at 43 MPH and, and, in first gear its very difficult keeping the truck from flipping over from all the power. One guy who has it says its like learning to drive all over again. If you dont believe me, head on over to the traxxas forums. there is alot of discussions on brushless. Ive heard alot about that kershaw design stuff. Those motors just cant match the efficiency of a brushless motor. Size does NOT matter.

I believe that the Kershaw upgrades are better. The Novak HV-Maxx Brushless system offers 375 watts of power at $279.99 for the upgrade. Kershaw is offering the Dual DeWalt 820 Motors with 594 watts of power for $199.00. H'mmm, , , Let's do the math here. The factory set of titan 550s can provide 238 watts of power. The Dual DeWalt conversion provides 2.5 times the power as the factory titans. One of my friends has this conversion and it ROCKS. I just purchased mine last week. After the kit arrives in a few days, I should be able to run some serious test and upload some photos. If anyone wants more info, here is Kershaws website. I highly recommend this Emaxx upgrade, for those who don't mind spending a little bit of money on one of the best Emaxx Upgrades EVER. http://home.comcast.net/~milemarkers...Conversion.htm
