Lightning Stadium Tires ?
I was checking out the Lightning Stadium at a local track, was very impressed with the Truck. The handling and attitude over jumps was awesome. The LS had stock tires on, it seems that we get so programmed to think stock tires can never be that good. It's always one of the first upgrades. Has anyone tried any other aftermarket tires on their Lightnings comparing them to the stock set up ?

RE: Lightning Stadium Tires ?
I've ran my track with bowties and it hooks insanely good. Makes the truck act like a 1/8 buggy with panther kumotos on it.. really hooked and solid. I can run wot thru the straights and it will go where i want it to. Jumping with this truck will be the same no matter what tires it has. I ran the stockers and they hooked good, but with the bowties on its a totally diff animal. Im looking at rvo wheels/panthers as my next set of tires.

RE: Lightning Stadium Tires ?
I have heard good things about panther tires. Can you give me some more info, Where can I get them, maybe a part# or specific name of tire and will they work with a Pro-Line Velocity rim or does Panther make their own rims to use ? Thanks

RE: Lightning Stadium Tires ?
I just switched over to a set of stock revo/wheels tires.
They work real well on the surface I am running on. (hard coral based stone covered with sand and loose dirt)
The stock tires are great for hard packed surface, but they loose traction like crazy loose dirt. I really don't like the stock wheels but oh well.
IMO - the REVO wheel/tire combo make the truck look extra bad ***** also

RE: Lightning Stadium Tires ?
The Stock Lightning Stadium truck tires ARE really good....I'd say on my track definately better than any Bowties.
Panther Pythons are wicked, but they only fit on REVO wheels. Also Traxxas has SportTRAXX and Response tires are real good, but again only fit REVO wheels.

REVO wheels will fit the Lightning Stadium but you do need to some minor mods
The rears wheel's webbing needs to be cut other it will scarpe the rear arms.
not hard to do, I cut mine out with a hobby knife
