Default It Lives!!!!!

I got my Savage broken in tonight. WOO HOOO!! I have been axiously waiting to get the truck going for a 1 1/2 weeks. I have been wanting to try this monster truck thing for awhile now. Just breaking it in was fun. (Prolly annoyed the neighbors though) Oh well. Hope to have some time Sunday before the SuperBowl to try and tune it a little. Does not look too hard.

Just happy to be part of the family now.

BTW - What do you all use to clean the nitro off your trucks??? I have used windex on my planes forever, but what do you all suggest???

Thanks. Be bashing soon.

No! dont used windex are you nuts!![X(][X(]
Windex can eat away at plastic.
I would recomend a rag dipped in water with some dawn in it.

Just trust me on this one.
In the future you'll start noticing melted or deformed parts.
But if you insist go right ahead.

Why would you go to the trouble of cleaning off the oily residue just to put a fresh coat on? WD40 is a dust magnet too.

ive read alot about decal applying to lexan bodies and pretty much every one recomends Windex on the body first, so you can postition the decal first.

For my airplanes I use formula 409 because windex leaves a film. As far as cleaning my savage, I use Nitro Blast it's about $4 a can but cleans very well and dries quick. Then hit with a few blasts of WD-40 and your done. The WD-40 works as a protectant so the next time you clean your truck the dirt and oil just washes away quickly. You only need a very light coat, don't go crazy with it. Also, don't forget to use after run oil. Prather makes a good one but mavel mystery oil works just as good. I've even heard of guys using automotive transmission fluid with good results.
Welcome to the club, nitro monster trucks are the only way to go (next to airplanes) Enjoy .
