I have a Kyosho Kanai III.. I am doing absolutely nothing with it. Its in great shape with all King Headz hop ups. Im playing with the idea of turning it into a TRUGGY. My LHS has a conversion kit and its not expensive at all. Im only thinking of this cause i am doing nothing with it and have this just sitting around my house taking up space. I think i only drove it like twice..lol..lol.. Would this be a serious racing truck? worth it? what do you think?!?!?! I started this idea when i saw the Hotbodies truggy and Storm SUT...

I saw that you were racing your MGT.... this conversion should be at least as competetive, if not more so. I wouldn't do it just to bash with, but you may have a serious contender on your hands as far as the track is concerned.

Well you have a Kani just sitting so the damage is not that bad. I saw the native info in the other thread so I guess the conversion your thinking of is as good or better. I also have a hyper 7 sitting thinking of the same thing. I'm gonna wait and see I think the LST is gonna be a hell of a racer for me at half the price of a hopped up truggy.

Dont get me wrong..I love racing my MGT.. I just thought it would be a good idea since its just sitting. I was very impressed by the Hotbodies Truggy and saw the advantages a truggy has over a MT.. I think i could be even better than i am with it.. Im not gonna put my MGT up though, but this may be the edge i need. Its gonna be for racing only...No bashing for me.. use to but now i just goto a track...

Yeah a truggy will dominate almost anyone at the track.
If you put the same driver behind the remote of a hopped up truggy and behind the fastest true MT out there, I would be 98% sure that the truggy would runn faster times.
Only downside is if you have a big track, you will have to run in an unlimited class(if your track has one) and compete against other truggies.

Our club track runs everything together... it was a free for all.... .18 to .28's revos to mgt's to hotbodies lightiing's...just simply a MT race.. and the .18 Revo won it all...I thought it was cool to put them all together..lets the skills do the winning..not the specs..lol..lol.. I figure convertin my KANAI3 is cheaper than buying a truggy..lol..plus it seems it will be a better racer...You guys agree?

In the end it's all about what you want to do. It would probably make for an interesting race truck but I gotta ask... Why don't you just race in the buggy class?
