Default x-factor axles

Has anyone tried to narrow the x-factor axles?

Not likely. Narrowing them would do horrible, horrible things to the handling. Especially on straight axles with high center of gravities. I'm curious as to why? I'm guessing for something that is not at all an X-Factor?

Why not lengthen the wheelbase...much easier than modifying the axle housings.
