Default leakage?

Had my MGT out today with its new HPI .21 ribbed pipe. After I was done I saw some oily stuff around my engine. there was also some of this crap on my engine. well i took off the engine and cleaned aropund the truck. I then looked at my engine, I didnt see anything wrong. I went back outside and drove it around and didnt see any fuel leaking out of the engine/muffler.

Now, I think it could be from WD-40 resedue i havent whiped off, or is if just from my muffler?(i have it on the side of my MGT now).

In the 2nd picture, can I take off that black thing that sticks outside of the pullstart? It almost gets in the way of the coupler and I dont want to risk it slicing it up.

here are some pics.

Looks like the engine is leaking at the front main bearing. Its common to have some oil from there, but thats excessive. Some motors do this more than others. Might also have alot to do with oil content in the fuel you run. Meaning less oil, less mess. You may be running a 20% nitro fuel? The black thing is just a drive cup for the starter shaft. I dont see any reason why you cant just remove the grub screw, and slide it off.

the reason why its messier in the front is because i had to tunr over the truck to get the engine out so it slid that way....[&:] Yes, I am running 20% BT fuel, it hasnt really done this before so i got a little worried. [:-]

WOW thats a mess! I know this is a strange question but are you sure you have a gasket installed for the manifold? also have you had any over heating issue's..

use a RTV sealant liquid gasket. That solved my issue in the MGT... The header on the MGT side exhaust kit doesnt seal too god without it.. Other wise you'll just make a mess...
