RE: my truck
haha that isnt true when you upgrade pretty much everything... all i have left is the shocks (if i ever switch), the alum toe blocks that i have in my toolbox (have never been installed since i havent broken a plastic one yet) and thats pretty much it.. i replaced all the hub bearings awhile back to rubber shieled ones, i have a better clutch setup (i havent used a 3 puck in any of my cars for a LOOOOOOOONG time.. fironi clutches are worth every penny) hardened diffs went in on sat because i finally blew the pot metals in the center and rear. so pretty much if i buil;t a pro, all thatd be diffent would be the arms and shocks... which dont make any difference to me. the shock ends are racers edge so i dont have that problem, and the difference between 3 and 3.5 makes no difference to me.. as long as it works good and doesnt give me problems.. im fine with it. My pro is mostly a (imma get ripped on for this...) shelf queen. The rr was just the better choice to me and i have had next to no probs with it. When i was deciding between the 2 i was hearing of alot of toe blocks and such breaking from the alum arms, and i hate hate HATE alum arms... on anything if youre going to race... plus if i break one, a replacement is only like 8 bucks And plus the proline yellow matched the trucks body perfectly so i guess that had something to do with it as well... heres a OLLLLLLLLLLLLD pics from when i first brought it home after break in and when i first started racing it... I remember putting that wing on for the very first time and then sitting there staring at it for 5 mins like... damn that looks sooooooooooo good! So I guess in the end it was a "which one looks better" when i decided since i knew they were both going on the surgery table for some mods

RE: my truck
haha yea, i was gonna stop by but the truck was giving me fits all day. replaced all 3 diff gears, my throttle servo died and to top it off, my radio started glitching again (damn airtronics MX3S... and i just got it back from airtronics after they "realligned" it and they said everything was good.. and first time out it has a 5 sec runaway down the straight [:@] ) So i ran with my loved am radio Your truck was looking pretty good out there tho.. love the body on it... you std mt guys are crazy drivers sometimes, gave me a pretty good workout running around after those trucks. We plan on going back in a few weeks or something, and hopefully ill be able to actually race my truck instead of having probs. I qualified 4th on the main and just drove around having fun, i finished like 2-3 laps down but who cares... i had too much fun on the one jump in front of the drivers stand (jump holmes???) i can clear it on the outside... popped the fence one and landed in the street and turned around and drove the thing back in the pits great track there, just if the lanes were a little wider.. but all in all a great sat of racing! Ill let you know when we plan on going back up.. maybe i can get a good look at that lst... been thinking about getting one for a lil while now...

RE: my truck
That first big jump is a killer (for most monster trucks). I had my Werks Clutch fail because I forgot to shim my clutchbell properly during the first qual (I also had about 14 gallons on it), I figured it out after the last qual and managed to get second in the main but it was a blast to have all the people there. Usually they race Will and Jeff (LSP's) with the monster truck class and thats not as much fun as a bunch of monster trucks.

Maybe I will come down there and race in the next month or so. I am planning on going to Houston on the 24th and I have my showdown in Phoenix in July.........

RE: my truck
yea, we're racing this coming weekend. We race the first and 3rd weekend of every month, but we usually have unannounced "practice races" on the oter weekends. we'll announce when, what time, exc on rcfiles like always, and itd be a blast to race against your lst... Since mt racing pretty much died down here, i only get to play with a mostly stock lsrr and like a savage when he shows.. it sucks, but o well.. everyone would rather race their buggy and we're working on getting the gas trucks back up... But when the corpus guys come down thats good for 2-3 mts from out of town, plus the local guys... its sad.. we have a great track, awesome facilities and the club is kinda dying off from the roar nats because people didnt want to help with the track, got "burned out" .. ya know all the excuses... but im fighting for it... I know corpus has a good mt turnout and we go up there quite a bit as well... even tho their track isnt all that great.... but we plan on going up there again in the near future... and robbie said something about some of you guys coming down here to race sometime... you guys will have a blast if ya do... track has plenty of power, lights, exc... open 24/7 if youre a roar member

The short clip in the video was Toys4BigBoys in San Antonio. PM me if you ever come down, racing is on Saturdays. I have the entire twenty minute main posted over at lstcentral.com and at rcfiles.com.

RE: my truck
2dmaxx... let me know when you come down next time and ill get ya in on the track, i can get in whenever i want and ill let ya get some runtime on the track... you wont have to pay anything and you can run as long as you want! you'll love our track.. we left all the craters in the elevations, makes for a very fun track! not really any big jumps, but its a great track and you'll be running on the track all the pros ran for the roar nats... Electricity (outlets and pit table lights) depends on who is there, but the track lights are availabe all the time.
