Default Revo engine questions

I am going to be getting a Revo in about a month and am probably going to upgrade the engine pretty much right away. I am wondering if i should get a Sirio .23, OS .18 TZM, or a RB .23. I will mostly be racing but will do some bashing as well. Want lots of power and speed and lots of reliability.

RB or the OS. Both very good engines....maybe you should go with the OS first and later when u want more power get the RB or even more powerfull engine....

i believe the RB and the Sirio are the same engines, just different badgeing but RB offers theres with a pipe also the RB is prolly a better deal than the Sirio.

I, having owned one, would recommend buying the RB TM323. Many of the people having problems (since I know most of the same people you know) were due to operator error for the most part. I have had a wonderful experience with the TM323. I can't say it's due to my superior ability, since some of 'em have much more experience than I do. Perhaps they got the ones made on Friday afternoon. Anything that is mass produced can have problems. It's been a great motor... I've loved EVERY minute of the gallon I have through mine right now. (just bought my second gallon). For the complete drop-in, you can't beat it. If you don't care if it's a drop-in, I would say a Wasp .26 is a great engine for it, or an OS .18TZ, but it's not going to have the low-end grunt that a larger engine will.

how much work would it actually be to get a WASP .26. And is that a real good engine. So far im am going towards towards the RB, is the WASP better?

The wasp has more power... and more low-end... better is a very subjective word... the RB is a direct drop-in, which means, you take the 2.5r out... put it in... and run it. The wasp is going to require a big block conversion kit, a new pipe, custom header, and a starter box or bump starter. If freez is around, he can tell you, he has 2 wasps that he runs in his Revo. It's not EXTREMELY difficult, but it's much more difficult than the RB.

well having used both i would say that once you have converted to the qoncepts kit, its like the whole world opened up for the revo. any motor that catches your eye now fits in your revo. it is expensive, but it really is worth it. the motor slides sideways, instead of up/down. when a hot new motor comes out for anyone you can fit it in the revo! priceless!!!
