Don't know about the CVEC pipe and the Savage. Only experiance I have with Cvec is with a tmaxx. Produced more power but was a little trickyer to tune. My Suggestion is to try a THS racing pipe for the savage .25-.28. Part number is THS8025. Please note that THS has a pipe for the 1/8 savage and the .25-.28 savage you want the one for the .25-.25. If you get the one that just says 1/8 savage you are getting the one for the .21 savage. I have found that the THS pipes work the best. good luck

thanks Jtrux for the info. i'll lokk into it for my MGT.

Crash, yeah that was my second option. in another thread, i was told that the ribbed pipe was a very common upgrade when the MGT first came out. the truck is new to me, and so is all the info

got the HPI ribbed pipe today in the mail and put it on (with alittle drilling for the new mount). man, what a difference. its like the engine woke up!

alittle louder then i thought, but that's a good thing. i guess i can put the deflector in the neighborhood, but run without everywhere else.
