Questions to the Kyosho MSR777 Truggy
Hi there. I have a few questions. Here soon I am going to get a Kyosho Inferno MP777 SP2, and convert it to a truggy with the Mugen Racing kit. Is that a good truggy? And also, next year I am going to be racing at my track, and I want to be the fastest in races. Which engine should I get ? Any suggestions? A guy told me that I should get the O.S. 21 VZ-B V-Spec-T engine. Thanks

I would have to agree with hybridstone. I love my SP-2, even as a truggy. But the CRT is a truggy built racers and not a conversion with hub extenders that will add stress to the front knuckles and bearings.

Why not get the new Inferno ST 1:8 scale truggy.
Why not get the new Inferno ST 1:8 scale truggy.
Because its just a standard Mp 7.5
The problem with the CRT is, that parts are not possible to get where I live, unless you want to order from America every time you need a small part.

HI Thank you ...
Its is based off of the 7.5 Kani
I have custom made the chassis, and have added other truggy parts.
I am hoping to have it going soon .
I will have more pics latter.

HAHA!!.....NITRO.......don't ya love it when people start asking about the kanai converted truggies?? It gives us a chance to show off what a kanai can really look like and preform like if they are built right.
Nitrosense's truggy is a beautiful peice of work!! BTW.....how ya doin' Nitro?? long time!!
Anyways........here's another example of what you can do with a kanai if you take your time and build them the right way.
ALSO......NITRO.............It's been a while since i ave posted any pics..how the hell do you paste up the full size ones again?? I can never remember how to do that.

A real racer. I have beat many Lsp,kani truggies, mugens. And I didnt waste my money either. It is 50/50. I dont care what you say. With out the truck you are nothing but a person in the stands. You could have the best set up out there and suck. I am a preety good driver. My truck isnt the best out there yet I can beat the best at my track. So before any go off moughing off any time any where.

HI Jeff and petrol
Just have been working on the LSP stuff
Everything going good I am trying to get the shock thing
sorted out. I have had no time to race or even get out and test.
I am going to take a full week off and do nothing but race and
get all of the trug stuff done.

Nitrosense,
I'll probably see you again though I am sort of burned out after iHobbyExpo, the PN World Cup, and my employer's relocation of the office. I also picked up lots of new toys in California.

Hey Been There, I'm not sure if any championship race will allow your two speed in an Arena class. Do you run in an unlimited class?

Killer truggy!!!!!!!!!!!! nice work jeff!! What size is the spur gear gs 54th?
Killer truggy!!!!!!!!!!!! nice work jeff!! What size is the spur gear gs 54th?
THANKS HYBRID!! Well.....what is in those pictues is gonna be different from what i am finishing now. I went out and test drove the thing all day with very little problems , except maybe a few screw's coming loose and my rear diff gears going bad , but other than that.....she held up awesome!!
First.......the spur gear in the pictures above we're an oversized Kyosho spur and it has 48 teeth. i actually didn't mind this gearing at all while i was running a 13 T CB. It came out of the hole better than what i expected and the top speed was a little to fast , so i decided to gear it down. Well......the only way i could do this was to switch over to my MUGEN center diff/housing with a 62 T spur and am gonna try running a 14 T-15 T CB with that , and it should work fine.
BUT.......the hard part was........i had to make another DAMN chassis!! The center diff housing is slightly off from the kyosho's......with the Mugen's being just slightly longer ( on the diff and the mounting holes on the chassis) There is about a 2.5MM difference.....just enough , that i finally decided to just build a new one. The NEW chassis however is going to be slightly thinner than the previous 5MM. I am going for a chassis between 3.5-4MM to lighten the truck up a little.
I have already finished the chassis a couple days ago , i just have a couple more small things to do , then i'm putting it all back together for another test run. I think by about tuesday or wednesday , i should be finished. I'll post some new pics on this thread or the TRUGGY THREAD >> http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2757781/tm.htm .
It looks pretty cool with the new look i got going on it. I Had to take the Mugen center diff housing and get rid of the "Mugen purple" , .....stripped it down , and then polished it all up........looks pretty sharp.
BTW........did i miss something.......You asked if i had a GS 54 T? Have you heard that this will fit a kyosho diff? or will the GS diff fit into the Kyosho center housing.............if it does...DAMN!! , i would of gone that route instead , but oh well!! HEHE!!
OH YEAH!!.......NITROSENCE........how the heck are ya? Man , i am waiting on a set of those arm , or the whole kit when your finished. BTW.......did you mention you we're using the HB wheel CVDS?? just curious. Mine uses the Monster GT axel's.
SEE YA GUYS!!
and TraxxasRevoProRace............Lighten up man........sheesh!!
