Guessing Xiwang is the scammer since most of the other RC cars they have listed are for sale by other ebay sellers. Just do a search on his other items for sale and you will see multiple listings for each.

Some dude had a real listing, then some ahole copied the listing trying to scam... Not uncommon. The first one that actually sold was legit.

Ebay is fine, you just gotta keep your head. There are more ways to get scammed then ever, but common sense can still overcome.
Remember-

A- If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
B- I base my Ebay risk on how much I spend. If it's a big ticket item, it had better be a 100% reputable seller with a lot and perfect feedback.
If it's a lower cost item, I may choose to bid on an item from a questionable seller if I am willing to take that risk.
C- If they have <97% feedback, I pass em by altogether.

I have been on for 4+ years now, 100% feedback 100+ auctions and never been scammed.
