How do I lockout the reverse on my T-Maxx.

Why? Find the Fwd/Rev servo (next to the steering servo) pop the linkage off the ball cap, install a new piece of linkage wire with a ball cap and screw it to the chassis. Don't use the servo linkage incase you want to go back to the Fwd/Rev.

I thought it might tighten up the tranny.

A forward only conversion (FOC) will tighten up the tranny and get rid of the clutches in the primary gears (fwd and rev), but locking out reverse will not help anything. If you are running a .15 engine there is really no reason to go with a FOC.
