I said that because REVOFAMILY has only one truck, and he is way too biased off of only that.

I did already decide on the XTM Mammoth
Diffs, shock towers, a-arms, chassis flexes easy thus striping spur gears.
The regular Mammoth has been discontinued so your only option is the Mammoth ST.
keep people from making the same mistake i did by buying a Mammoth, id really like to smash that truck with a hammer!
ive owned 6 different trucks and ive never had a truck blow both diffs in under a half a gallon of fuel, it's poorly designed and cheaply made IMO.
it needs alot of $ right of the bat to make it durable!
I think it's going to break. Did you not read the responses to your own thread? At least half or more said theirs have broken.
Besides, what does it matter what I (or anybody else) thinks? It's going to be your truck. You have to like it, not me or them.

Just a reminder for everyone:

Sorry, its just some people have to act like smart asses before they give useful advice. I did already decide on the XTM Mammoth, what do you think, do you think it is junk, or is it just like any other mt.

I don't know just how many trucks you asked about, but I have at least 3 of them - Revo, Ofna Blazer SST, and Mammoth ST. None of them are perfect, and none are unbreakable. They each have their unique character and I like them all (plus other trucks I've owned). If you think you can buy a perfect truck and never have to buy parts to replace broken ones, you are in the wrong hobby. And if you don't run them hard enough to break things, you are not getting your money's worth.
Enough about what other people like or dislike... pick one that you like and go buy it already!

Ok heres the upgrades on my mammoth, i disagree with the people saying they are heaps with the right stuff they kick ass. for monster trucks I have a mammoth,Tmaxx, and savage, honestley i drive the mammoth the most.
after i added these: the truck is awesome i never have problems with it
Shock tower brace from front to rear (almost eliminates all chassis flex and makes for a much better handeling vehicle)
Upgraded rear diff with titanium ring and pinion gears
Front and rear diff shims it is they have problems with the diffs i went through 3 sets b4 i got titanium diffs
a 290cc fule tank
Steering servo from a Monster GT (metal gears and faster than stock servo)
and the best part a picco P3 .26 motor

I am new to using forums and such, but not new to RC cars. ilikenitrocars, I would recommend at least choosing something that your LHS has support for. After that, just think of the sorts of features you would like. My own mammoth ST needed the diffs shimmed. Out of the box, steering and brakes were simply mediocre. the XTM 24.7 has been finicky during break-in. My HPI MT2 had issues out of the box. Same with my E-Maxx. I won't even start on my (now) too expensive Mini-T. Every R/C vehicle has its own issues. Just keep researching... manufacturers sites, distributors sites, r/c universe, etc. Find out what issues others have had with the various vehicles that interest you. Sift the good information from the ignorant rants, and you should be able to make an informed decision. Good luck and have fun.
