Thought I would start a thread to hear from all you HellFire owners.
I just ran mine for the first time last night. This thing handles pretty good with the stock tires. I'll get some pics up over the weekend. One thing that need immediate upgrading is the steering servo, it is a cheap plastic geared servo that broke a few minutes into my run without hitting a single thing. That is the only complain I can see so far.
Also, be sure to tighten your fuel filter as mine was loose from the factory.
Lets see some pics and hear some stories[8D]
Here are some pic. I'll have allot better ones Sunday.

wow...sounds pretty crappy. i agree with max overdrive...if i pay 600+ for a truck i dont expect a servo to break on the first run.

Yeah, it sucks, but what do you expect from a $12 plactic gear servo trying to steer this beast. I put in the Airtronics 94358 and it steers just fine now[8D]
Lets try to talk about the positives of this truck

Hey, before you close the book on the steering servo, don't forget to get a new one from HPI for your broken one. Always nice to have an extra throttle servo in the pit box.
I saw a Hellfire at my LHS... Friggen awesome lookin truck. Skyodyssey, as the head of the hellfire thread, and one of the first owners, you have a responsibility to post pictures! Body off specifically!

Have you made any setup changes yet Mike? How is its performance. Give us some category ratings, and compare them to the LST2 please.

I'll know more after Sunday, I only got a little over a tank through it as I ran out of fuel and DBs had no more of what I run. Still need to get a better tune on the motor. This thing really started to come to life when I was running low on fuel, so I know its a little rich. The thing I liked the most so far is how it floats through the air and lands so soft. Have not thrown any setup on it yet, all stock. I want to get a few tanks through it before I start messing with setup. Not sure what Brake fade it??? But I can drive it HARD into the corner, then brake while being in control the entire time. The stock tires seem to push when on-power coming out of the turns. They didn't have the computer on so I couldn't check my lap times, but I think they about the same as the LST2 right now. With the LST2 I can power all the way through the turns and it has more grip...but thats with the CFs. I need to get those Nubz mounted to get a better feel for it. I'll let ya take it for a spin Sunday

Sounds like the Hellfire is a really awesome truggy. It and the jammin should be a good match when Some pro drivers use it. I want one really bad.

Mike, brake fade is when you run a main, and your brakes have faded near the end of the race. Generally a bad thing. Especially bad when running a truggy, or any center diff vehicle, that relies on that brake bias to pivot in a tight turn. I cant wait to see it Sunday.

This truck is exactly why I chose it for my first true kit vehicle.. I want to buy it as soon as that kit comes out so I can put all my goodies into it. Unfortunately, I contacted HPI on the release date, and they said that they havn't determined it yet... My guess is that it will be soon after they introduce some factory hop-ups for the Hellfire.. isn't that how it usually goes around here? I am itching for the kit so badly...

No comparison, the HellFire is a truggy. The Revo and Savage are Monster Trucks. If ya want a MT, gat a LST2
So the HellFire will be faster and handle better than the MTs.

ok had my hellfire since tuesday night. this thing is a awsome truggy. strong points are steering and cornering it corners and steers like a rc street car which is great. another strong point is its low center of gravity which makes it almost impossable to flip on a tight corner. and the power. now i broke my engine in right and at first from factory they have it so rich for breakin but i been leaning it up and its starting to come to life. i got the temp up around 230 right now and the thing is a rocket although it needs a second speed to really make it haul. and jumping, ive jumped this thing 35 feet already and it jumps dam good the only thing i noticed is that it seemed alittle front heavy through the jump cause i had to keep the gas on to keep the thing from nose diving. but all in all it jumps really good. now the bad. the pull start sucks really bad i broke it the first day of running it so get a savage roto start and put that on there right away it works great. the other thing is i have to agree with skyodyssey the servos suck, my steering one went out yesterday and my truck went right into a poll and bent my camber adjuster and knocked the a-arm off but i fixed that. so tomorrow i will be calling hpi and giving them a ear full. now that all that is said this thing is going to be a monster once u get the bugs out "like tuning, servos and pull start fixed" i think this is going to be the leader of the pack. but just really wish there was a 2 speed on her because i take my friends revo out of the hole alot but right when shes hitting top speed the revo passes me like im standing still "although my friends revo has a servio motor in it and it hauls *****" but still i know mine would take it if i had a second speed on it. alright guys any quetions just ask and please list anyother problems u guys might have that i havent to help us all. thanks guys have fun
