Xfactor Project... Body is done! Pics! Almost done.
Here is the 72 Chevy body that I chose for this project. I did a classic type paint job, and it's not perfect by any means, but good enough for me and the best I could do. I also added an ACNCM cooling head.
For anyone who hasn't been following my project, here is a quick catchup-
Custom homebrewed front servo mount/upper 4 link mount
Custom homebrewed front steering drag link and steering linkage
Custom homebrewed rear upper 4 link mount
Modded front upper links (shortened)
Lifted
Extended Wheelbase
Removed stock skidplates
Custom homebrewed cantilevel shafts (longer)
TMaxx sliding driveshafts (still have to finish rear)
TMaxx disk brake
Giga Crusher Cold Air Intake- functional!
Racer's Edge Servo Saver
Hitec MG645 steering, 605BB throttle
Custom throttle linkage
LST Ball ends throughout
Reedy 6V NiMH Rx pack
XTM 24.7
XTM Al Tranny side plates
XTM Al Cantilevers & mounts
XTM Al axle link mounts
XTM XF2 Chassis, shocks, engine mounts
XTM Al wheelie bar
Racer's Edge exhaust deflectors
Savage Axles
MGT Wheels/tires (soon to be HotBodies 7.7" Fireballs)
Fuel tank/receiver box relocated
Forward Only Conversion
ACNCM Cooling head
Proline 72 C10 Chevy body Tamiya paints
It still needs a few odds and ends, but this is about it! My final project pictures will be soon.

Who cares if RCCA puts it as a reader's ride? They are so biased, that the real racers won't care. Send it in to RC driver or XRC for the contest
