How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
O yea, I've calculated and I've spend over a grand in the past month.
You're thinking, what a spoiled kid. Hey, I'm 28, I have a full time job and I never got anything as a kid. I've been wanting an RC since I was in the sixth grade but "Daddy didn't love me." No, he did but my parents could never afford my longing for RCs.
This month:
1. RC 18t: $170
2. REVO: $474
3. TC4(drifter project): $280
4. Accessories(gas, batteries, bag, glow igniter, parts, etc.): $100
The feeling I get when my motor fires up and I pass my friend at the track: PRICELESS
When I laugh and smile, all my RCs have already paid themselves off. If something makes you happy in life, just do it because you only get one life to live.

RE: How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
This is therapy!
$439.00 - Savage X
$100.01 - Nubz w/ 17mm conversion
$23.99 - Venom failsafe
$6.50 - charge switch
$52.99 - JR R135-75 Rx
$17.99 - SMC 1200mAh 6v hump pack
$2.69 - charge cord pigtail for stick pack
$16.24 - dual stainless disk brakes
and a couple bottles shock oil and diff oil.
That adds up to be close to $750.00, doesn't it? I didn't add it because this is supposed to be therapy. It's supposed to be therapy. It's supposed to be therapy. It's supposed to be therapy. It's supposed to be therapy. It's supposed to be therapy.

RE: How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
Thank goodness im not the only one. I've got about a grand in my stuff so far this year. Just bought a Revo and all kinds of stuff for it. Spent some on the E-Maxx and my RC18MT. Whats funny is i got out of Mustangs and ATV's too spend less money. Oh well, you guys ever find yourself spending those extra few dollars on Tower to get the discount for stuff you had not planned on buying at the time? This hobby is addictive and costly! Alot of fun though![8D]

RE: How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
Within the last week:
Savage 25 = $475 (I am in Alaska, where everythings overpriced)
HPI '56 F100 Body = $28 (salesman knocked off $5 since I just bought 2 rcs from them)
4 glow plugs = $20
2 cans paint = $10
RC18B = $195
2 Quarts Top Fuel 20% = $17
TOTAL = $745
Except for fuel and replacement/upgrade parts, that'll probably be all I buy for at least a few months [&o] .

About $1200 so far this year in hardware and raw material. Just about ready to plunk down $300 for stainless telescoping driveshafts that I gave up making myself. Oy.

RE: How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
Honestly I don't want to get married or have kids because it cuts into my RC budget and schedule. I'm pretty much a selfish *******. haha
In the last 3 months alone I have over $700 in Hobbytown receipts alone (Losi XXX-S, paint, bodies, parts, tools, motors, cargo boxes,), about $300 into Horizon for my E-zilla, I have $350 into eBay for wheels, tires batteries, charger and stuff. By the end of March I'll be down another $550 when I equip my XXX-S with a Novak GTB brushless system and a Spektrum radio with lap counter telemetry. The really sad part is that all this is electric, it's too cold here in Colorado to start in with nitro. The year before that it was 2 nitro RS43s, an HPI MT2 and a used Super Nitro RS4, a micro RS4 and a Venom mini-giant plus at least 2 grand on tools, paint, probably 15 bodies, raw materials, fuel, engines, motors, etc. Jesus I'm going to go throw up now. This thread was a terrible idea.

Oh yeah, after I placed my post I forgot about the HPI MT, new .15 ss motor, racing clutch, cvec tuned pipe and header.
You know those warning labels on some of your rc boxes or part boxesthat say this product may contain harmful chemicals that may cause cancer and birth defects.
They forgot the part that said this product may cause you to end up spending extrorinary amounts of money and may cause you to want every new vehicle, part and accesory out there.!!!!
Oh yeah the poll, Im beyond therapy I need rc rehab detox for a month or 2!!!!!!!!

RC Rehab and detox??? The first step to cure is to admit you have a problem.
Hi, my name is Marty and I'm addicted to RC. I have no intentions of stopping....................

RE: How much have you spent on your RCs this year?
Last year was a hefty one.
Hyper 7 Pro used ~250
TNX Pro ~400
Losi AD2 250
RC18T 160
cvrx 100
Spektrum 180?
AMB transponder 100
Blade CP 210
Those are just the big hitters. Dont forget gas, replacement parts and races.
And r/c is my therapy, nothing else gets me away from everything like R/c does...unless its $50 a sack
