which 1/8 truggy would you choose??
I've been looking at truggies and 1/8 scale stadium trucks lately, and am trying to figure out which is the best bang for the the buck. It would be involved in light bashing and racing.
Here's the list give me your feedback on these.
1. Hotbodies rtr rr stadium truck
2. thunder tiger rtr st-1
3. Hpi hellfire rtr
4. Jammin rtr truggie
6. GS sut storm
7. mamouth st.
I've heard all are fairly good but does any one seem to standout. I got the JR synthsized radio with tons of channel choices, Id just have to buy another reciever.
thanks for input

I really like the hpi hellfire, it has an awesome motor, 4wd, it is big and looks really durable. I have heard some bad things about the mammoth st. I have never owned or driven it so i cant say for sure. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I'm going to wait on the truggy deal myself until I see the new releases from Losi and Mugen. Losi doesn't have solid plans for one yet as far as I know, but they're stupid if they don't release one soon. With them having an upcoming 1/8 buggy, it shouldn't be too much longer. The new Kyosho kit is going to be nice, and their readyset model is cheap enough to try it out if you aren't sure whether you would want one or not. The Hellfire is supposed to be coming in kit form soon too, which will make that truck alot more appealing.
I''m going to wait a little longer on a truggy and see what comes to the market in the next few months.
If I had to decide on one right now, I'd buy the Hot Bodies Stadium Pro-R and then slap an LRP Z.28R on it.

It wasn't on your list, but you should seriously check out the Mayhem ST (stadium truck). The Sportwerks .26
is a screamer and is built race ready. Check out the "Mayhem" thread. My sons is a screamer and it has been
trouble free.

Those mayhems arms snap like twigs, ive literally drove right through one with my revo.
If your going for a truggy do it the right way and build a kit.All the rtr truggs that Ive seen or driven has the worst costcutting mesures possible.Usually diff gears, and shocks are different the aluminum is almost always of a lower grade on everything including the chassis.
But if your looking for bang for your buck Id look at the jammin but even the pro CRT isnt the toughest thing out there.

I don't know. I saw a new Hellfire against a jammin truggy at the track last wensday. The force .28 looked more powerful on the straightsaways. I would go with the Jammin even when i own 2 savages
