I just went out today to break in my t-maxx. i fueled it up and tried to start it. the engine would spin but the glow plug light wouldnt come on. i warmed it up and changed it out but it still didnt come on. my dad fiddled with the wire the connected to the glow plug and it flashed for a second but then remained unlighted. it was 40 degrees out and the engine was around 70. does the temp affect glow plug starting? anyone know whats wrong? thanks.

The outside temp isn't really going to affect whether the glow plug ignites or not. Make sure you're holding the glow plug against the head securely when checking it cause it has to be grounded properly to ignite and you have to hold the ez start button for a few seconds to ignite the plug. The Ez start 2 is a lot better than the first one but it would be a pretty good idea to pick yourself up a seperate glow igniter which does come in handy at times...

ok i got it so the glow plug lights but now the ez start spins the engine for about 1 second and then stops and sometimes the glow plug light flashes on and sometimes it doesnt. it will make a sizzling sound near the glow plug. does thet mean air is leaking? I just cant get it to start. its not flooded, i checked. the flywheel will turn pretty freely. by the way there is a little fuel that got into the line going from the top of the tank to the exhaust. i think it got in when I turned the tmaxx upside down to check if it was flooded. anyone know why it just wont start?
thanks.
thanks.
