Default Savage Twin Plate Chassis?

Considering the Savage for future wallet abuse. Wondering how twin vertical chassis is set up . Is it really cramped. I don't mind wrenchin , but it looks like you'd have one big pile of parts if you ever worked on it. LHS doesn't carry 'em so I can't get up close and personal.

I don't really thing that the chassis is cramped. Although I do thing that the engine mount screws are really hard to get to if you don't remove the chassis first. I went to my local colpar and ordered the carbon fiber chassis plates and the aluminum shocks. I really hope they work well. But as for the savage being too complicated because of the chassis. I don't believe so. Only my Opinion Thanks for your time

Bluehydro8, it is very easy to remove and put back the savage

engine.

first take off the pipe.

then there are 4 screw under the engine. you can access them

without any problem, without taking off any other part.

i did once to clean the engine.

I figured that out when I took off the chassis for the very first time. The problem I had was that the screw was hard to reach with the Allen I had at my disposal at the time. I know that now. Now I clean my engine regularly. Hey Lankshark, What do you think of the new Carbon fiber chassis plates that hot bodies sells because I ordered a set about a day ago. It set me back about 60 bucks. Have a nice day

that looks SHARP, and cooler than the original one.

BUT (sorry for the "but"), it is not really necessary

because the original one is already cool and strong

enought.

BUT (another but), if i have the money, and some

other upgrades have done, i will consider spending

money just for looking cool.

right now, increasing performance and safty has

the priority

Here's some interesting reading of the Savage.....just in case anyone has missed it. I think crash and burn has done a very good job of getting some useful information out to all of the Savage owners.
