Default e-maxx run time

Hey all, just wondering what kind of run time I could get with an E-maxx. Only interested in back yard stuff, climbing, scale stay on your wheels type of stuff. I've got a couple of nitro stadium trucks and they're great, but wouldn't mind slowing things down a bit.
Am I on the right track or would I be disappointed?

EMAX RUN TIME WITH FULLY CHARGED BATTERIES (2600MAH) WILL GO FOR ABOUT 13 MINUTES,I HAVE 2 EMAXS,TO BE HONEST THECONSTANT RECHARGING OF THE BATTERIES GETS OLD REAL QUICK,AND YOU STILL SHOULD LET THE MOTORS COOL DOWN BEFORE SLAPPING IN A FRESH SET OF BATTERIES,YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AFTER BEING USED TO A NITRO TRUCK,THE ONLY COOL THING ABOUT THE EMAXS IS YOU CAN USE THEM INDOORS WHEN ITS TO COLD TO USE YOUR TMAX OUTDOORS.

Thanks. I guess I'll give it some more thought.

Hmmmm....well maybe my watch is not working properly....as with 2 - 7.2 volt 3000 mah NIMH batteries.....in my back yard....with my driving style....I can run for about 30 minutes. Now....that is not wide open mind you....it's just goofing off trying this....trying that....enjoying it for the same reasons that you described.

And yes....it's wise to let the motors cool between runs.

Good Luck!

Driving an electric rig....you go into it knowing that the run times are dependent on what type of batteries that you own and use. That is why some guys will "build a supply" of battery packs so they have no down time.....other than allowing the motor to cool to keep from damaging it. We would do the same for our nitro engines if running them on a hot day in the summer time. In cooler temps....as in winter time....of course the electric motors still get hot....but obviously not as hot as in summertime. I think it's just good sense to let em cool so they can last their intended life time.

Well, 30 minutes is a lot more attractive than 13. That would kinda fit into my time frame. Thanks for the input, I'll be going to the hobby shop next week and will check out parts availability and the cost of getting started in electric. Some of the tricked out e-maxxs that folks have been kind enough to post pics of are the look that I'd like to go for. Keep 'em coming guys!!
