having issues with my warhead

any warhead owners have trouble breaking n there super tiger 4.4 engine? i am it wont stay running and one pull on throttle kills my glow plug (ive been through 4 plugs already) i havent been through one tank yet! ( i use traxxas top fuel 20%) any suggestions would be greatly apprecated. i need to get this running i have a friend with a savage that wants me to teach him how to go fast, but its not going at all yet. anyway, help me.

I have never heard of glow plugs dieing like that before... The ST engine is horrible(i own a warhead myself) and its only good too fool around on. Im not much on engines but it sounds like its out of tune. We need some needle experts in here stat! BTW there is a Anybody own a Warhead thread on this page.

( I must warn you though...it's almost 300 pgs long.)As for the super pooper. It's got bad sealing issues. you need to remove it from the truck and check it for air leaks. after you get it all sealed up it should do a lot better.
If you don't know how to check for air leaks... It's easy. After you get it out of the truck, all you need to do is make up a soapy water solution. (A couple drops of dish soap in a couple ounces of water.) Place a length of clean fuel hose on the fuel inlet nipple. hold one finger over the carburetor bore and a second over the exhaust port at the back of the engine.While blowing into the hose brush the soapy water over the entire engine. any bobbles forming on the engine indicates an air leak that needs to be sealed. use rtv orange silicone to seal it. It ( the orange) doesn't etch the aluminum.

Before you seal your motor, I would first set the needles back to stock settings. I would then make sure I had a fresh glow plug. I would set the throttle trim knob up higher so the slide is more open, make sure the truck is up agianst your leg or an unmovable object as it will rev up high, until you turn the throttle trim knob down. Put the ignitor on the glow plug, and try to get it fire. if it fires and runs LEAVE the ignitor on the plug if possible drive it like this a few laps. Try removing the ignitor, if it stalls out imediately. Pull the plug to do a visual examination. Is it real wet and shiny? That would indicate a very rich fuel mixture. Try leaning the high speed needle somewhat, in 1/8 turn increments. If the plug still glows bright try reusing it.
On the other side of the spectrum it could be running real lean which would also cause imediate stall out. Inspect your glow plug. Is the coil burnt brown, or distorted looking? If so try richening up the high speed needle first in 1/8 turns. Still stalling out? Try richening the low speed fuel mixture screw a little bit.
Make sure your using the right heat range of glow plug. I hope this will help. Sometimes it takes some frustration, and fooling around to get things set right. If all else fails then I would check the engine for air leaks.

look guy you have to strar hearing the engine,first i think that your problem maybe a carburator problem,n yuo shoud deal whit the low speed needle{trotle} n hi speed needle ,in hsn give 3 turns out-360 g n for lsn 1mm of distance betwen the inlets,leve the midle speed alone
