Savage steerign servo question
#1
I had to remove the servo arm and baseplate(?) to center the steering because the trim on the controller was not enough to center it. I took it apart, centered it and re-assembled everything. Now I notice there is a little slop in the top "arm" that sits on the base plate. It may have been there before as well but I didnt check before taking everything apart. Is this little bit of play normal or should it be rock solid? If anyone can check theirs it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Don

I changed to a Hitec servo also, and am curious as to what you are asking exactly... If you are trying to find out if the little bar that connects to from the servo saver to the steering mechanism, then yes, it should be a little lose.
I hope that helps.... if not please clarify your question.

for HITEC servos, use different base plate(the one attach to the servo)
you can find 3 different base plates in your spare parts that came
with your savage, use the one labeled "24"
check manual page 38
