Default M.I.P. CVD help

i finally got my mip cvd kit on my stampede, but i'm afraid the pin will back it's way out like it has done b4............any idea's on how i can prevent this?.........i tried to put shrink tubing around the end of the dogbone, but i can't find a big enuff shrink tubing, all i have is the small kind..........so any more idea;s that actually work?

The best way is to grind a flat spot on the pin for the set screw to seat against. And yes, thread lock is a must. Also, If you have a piece of shrink tube that is almost big enough, you can stretch it out with a pair of needle-nose.

i tried that, it's 2 small...........and i did put thread lock on it already............and i live in an apartment building..........so no grinding 4 me

All it takes to grind a flat spot in the pin is a Dremel, they're not that loud

Yeah the Dremel probably won't be as loud as some of the appliances in your apartment.

I'll put in another vote for flat spotting the pin. Then use red loctite on the set screw.

well, i dont' have a dremel...........and i already put the blue lock tite on it............and i was gonna just wrap the end of the dogbone in tape, figured it would work for a while
