Default HELP! You guessed it.....Warhead problems!

[sm=drowning.gif] I am tuning my "new" WH EVO and it will not go in gear. The servo works it back and forth but no tire movement. Any ideas?[sm=confused.gif]

Mabey you should take the transmission apart and see for damage. Or mabey the servo is not moving far enough to engage it. I had a problem with my Warhead EVOs reverse gear, forward worked but reverse didnt. Or mabey the cluch shoes are messed up some how. I wouldnt give her to much gas in reverse or you strip the reverse gear. (I know from experience)

first you need to "find" the problem. with the engine Off (not running) spin the spur gear by hand, will the car roll? if not check the reverse links. move it by hand with the radio off to see if it will engage. if all of this works then check the clutch. but you need to see if it is in the tranny or the clutch. I beleive it is next to impossible to mess up the FWD gears but i do beleive thier is a pin inside that could had busted if you were doing something very rough. is this a new out of the box truck or was it working and then quit? give the whole story and you will get better direction.......

It is new out of the box, I did the break in last weekend and this is about the 7th tank. I wasnt doing that much just in my small back yard and I had it in reverse, backed up and went to go forward and nothing.
When I had it on the stand the tires will jerk but not spin, just barley move......like I said just a little jerk and then they stop. I am not sure how far the servo is supposed to move the trans lever?

Try disconnecting the reverse lever from the servo and see if you can change gears by hand. It almost sounds like the servo isn't giving enough throw to engage the forward gear.

if u spin the spur gear and it doesn't move but the tires jerk a little it could be the OWB inside the transmission. but if reverse works i don't think that could be the problem. I had the same problem with mine. i think it was like $9 from tower
