u dont need to do it, ive had mine for bout 6 months, its still like new, but im not gonna rebuild it, maybe il pinch the sleeve when it totally dies, but otherwise im getting a new motor, like a STS28 hehe. And il port the 4.6 all i can and see what i can get out of it

Hey scotty if you do a really good port and polish job on it then you will see huge jump. Did it to two different (well me and my buddy did) traxxas .15 pro's and the second one ran stronger than their 2.5 race engine did. Wont say it made it past 2 and half gallons though lol.

I dont think about rebuilding it till I notice a huge loss in performance. But if you want to take it to where it NEEDS rebuilt then you will do it when SugaFree said to

to me rebuilding is pointless, i mean for a high end engine its not, but for the RTR engines i dont worry bout it, the TTR28 is a dam good engine though, i love mine, but for the price of a rebuild kit, i would proly just get a brand new TTR28 of ebay for cheap, then i have a spare parts engine for about the same price as a rebuild would of cost. But yeah il proly just re pinch it and have it as a spare if my STS28 dies for some reason, Piston and sleeve for the STS28 is only like 30 US [X(]
