I has a savage.Want to up grade to a better steering servo. Can someone give me a recommendation.Does any one know what the torque of the factory one is?I have been looking at the Hitech HS-645MG.The factory one will barely turn the tires when it is setting still. This sucks. It takes the hole back yard to mack a turn at full thoutle.
Thanks Todd

I have the 645 in my savage, big difference between stock. I got it about 1 month ago, believe i paid 38 bucks for it. I also put on a set of trinity pullers with offset wheels, my truck can really get grip and hang in the corners now.

According to all the reviews i've read, the stock servo is just fine if you use a 6 volt hump pack. It puts out like 90 oz./in. of torque with the pack. With AA's it drops to 70 oz./in. . 90 oz. is plenty, why upgrade?

I upgraded mine because i broke the plastic gears inside, and i did not want to wait for my lhs to recieve the part. The 645 and the 945 have metal gears inside. The replacement gears for the stock run about 6 bucks.
