Default Now What?

OK, I did it and bought my Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 yesterday, now what should I do to protect it (yah I know unprotecting it is alot of fun)? Are there some parts I should invest in right away? And by the way what is a "fail safe"? and is it something I need?

Thanks for all the help

a failsafe is used to stop the car if it senses the receiver is messing up or the battery is running really low...it will shut the car off so it does not run wild. used mainly on large trucks and 1/8 scale buggies

Heck the first thing I would do is put a Throttle return spring on it. It'll even hit the brakes if your servo ies! Good stuff!
CHEAP too. I dont leave home without it!

well Ebay.. LHS..

Heck if you find a spring that fits.. that'll do it!
Theres no specific spring for this
At least I dont think
One thing.. Remember.. the throttle servo has to CONSTANTLY FIGHT the spring. Make sure the spring is not too powerful or your throttle response will suck and you servo will suffer as well. The constant lack of emf with a load will cause a serious battery drain
