Default AA BATTERIES, WHAT DO YOU USE??

I just got into this hobbie and i got a savage x as my first truck. I am currently breaking it in and what not but I am ok with all that for now. My question is concerning batteries and how long should they run before needing to replace or recharge?

I currently using the rechargeable energizer batts, 12 of em. I have a 15 min charger for em which is nice so all them for 45 min and done.

they only been lasting like 45-1hour of play time before the remote is flashing saying low.

Is that normal for batteries to go low that fast? any other ones i could use?

what size mah are they. I have panasonic 1600 or 1700 mah that I use and they last quite awhile. Probably 10 tanks or so IDK for certain. Once they are down to where they need charged I will leave controller on over night and then charge em next day. I have had em for about 5 years now so they are good. I dont think they should be going dead that fast. You should get a charger that does not go by time. Peak chargers are much better IMO.

You should be using a 5-cell receiver pack in your Truck, and use the re-chargeable AAs in your Radio......
I use 2500 Mah AAs in my radio and only Charge it at most once a week.....(Depending on how much I drive my Truck) and I use a 2600mah NiMH 5 cell AA Hump Pack in my Truck so i can run All day with out having to charge the pack....

Are you sure they are Getting a Full Charge? Mine take around 45 mins per pack, Maybe that 15Min Quick Charge is not giving the Batteries a Full charge......

I would suspect your charger as well. I use high capacity packs (2500 - 2650mah) and I have never had one go dead on me.

i would just think it would be a charger issue. But you may have a dead cell in the pack as well. Get a charger that doesnt have a twist timer on it or one of those plug in wall overnight chargers. Go to your LHS and get a nice peak charger. I use the trition field charger. See if you can get your battery pack cycled and see what you are getting when charger cuts off when it peaks. I dont trust overnight chargers or anything that doesnt have a readout on the packs that i charge. Trition is round 100bux. Course its made for all types of batts... im sure you can get something cheaper for rx packs.
