Hellfire is a truggy and so is the muggy, while this is the section of monster trucks.
Between the two the hellfire is better at racing while the muggy at bashing. If you want losi for racing go with the 8T while you want losi go for LST2 as a great basher.
If you want an HPI monster truck go with the savage but Id prefer the lst

If you don't plan to race I would get the LST2.

hellfire is really agile right out of the box though the stock tires are junk along with the radio. I got the HR shock towers and they bent like butter but the stock actually held up better. Also a notch wears in the rear diff case causeing you to have to rebuild quite often to keep from stripping rear diffs. I think i went through 3 diff cases before i sold it.
I sold mine and got the muggy. The muggy tires were to heavy and had to switch to dynomite clutch. It handled like poo until I switched to single servo and nubz tires. After that my upgrades have just been personal preferance likke lrp spec 3 truggy edition.
The muggy fits my driving style better. I try to carry as much speed as possible in corners and the suspention eats the most things that would upset other truggys.
I have had both these trucks and I like the muggy much better, but that is my opinion. They both have their strong and week pionts.

Well, heres some stuff to think about. First off, with the muggy, you'll be changing the clutch shoes right away. They are prone to failure. While the muggy shares some components with the LST2, it does not share the nice synthesized radio... So you are no better off having that. For me, one of the big disappointments with the Muggy, was the lack of thought put into the suspension. Mainly in one area. Team Losi shortened the shock shaft, the shock body, and the shock tower. However they forgot to shorten the springs... You'll find yourself hurtin when it comes to proper suspension setup.
With the Hellfire, you have more setup options. The towers, the springs, etc. And its already equipped with 17mm hubs. So you are ready for some racing treads. If you buy the SS, you'll be supplied with em. Now personally, i've seen TQbatman punish his Hellfire RTR at the races. I cant see how he can claim it sucks. I do feel the Hellfire is a little pricey for what ya get. Though the SS Hellfire i believe is available, or soon to be available with a motor. So that might make the deal better.
Regardless, i think if i were to choose from those two, i'd take a Hellfire... Though i think you'd probably enjoy them both.

thermalrd do you race, I'm asking cause I'm looking for a set up system like hudy or somthing for 1/8 scale trucks to set the suspension and make adjustments. I would also like to do my 1/10 mt.

Its true that Hellfire can give alot of trouble I've seen that first hand, but can give good results too. Also that the muggy has got its own issues like clutch problems. Its not funny buying a truck and before you even used it you have to change the clutch system.
Personally for all the choices we have out there and at varouis prices I wouldnt choose any of the above but I would go for something less problematic. YOUR CHOICE

Yep - the Muggy definitely gets points for looking good, but I wouldn't take either.
I'd take the Thunder Tiger ST-1. It's got a great rep - and cheap too...

Yup, the ST1 is a better option than both. I raced that last year as well. And still have it here. They also have a pro kit now.
