How often dose the transmission need new fluid?

Well heck I would think to replace it whenever it gets dirty.. If you have junk in the fluid it will actually help in KILLING the spur gears

so better safe then sorry I guess...about once every 3-4 months?
Thats just my guess.. good question!

trans fluid? in a t-maxx?????? ive taken my trans apart a few times and know of no fluid in mine......lube and i spray a litle bit of wd-40........thats all

Never had annything in my trans. iether for over a year ???
never had any problems.

Default trans lube

If Lube is what worries you then here it is. They make a lithium grease with graphite in it. I stick it in all my diffs and tranny and am still waiting for it to harden

I wouldnt use WD-40 it attracts dust and dirt, you dont want that in your precious bearings and gears. Use a lithium grease that works the best.
