well from what i hear the wheelie king onli does around 12-15mph out of the box...you would need a motor upgrade out of the box to get some more speed out of it..i dont know about the sav so i cant help you there..i think the stock wheelie king esc can handle up to a 15t motor so you could get it go faster for cheap.

Well its definitely not brushless out of the box
[:-] Stock it probably goes 25-30mph[8D] If you stick a BL system in there ive heard of people going 50-60

Oh the VXL? I personally would just buy an E-Savage and make it BL. The Traxxas cars will bee friggin bombs at that speed... Plus hunderds on LiPo batteries if you want to go the advertised speed

Wheelie king is best for wheelies, e-savage is best for all other catagories mentioned.

The E-zilla is better at wheelies too. Tighten the slipper up and throw a savage wheely bar on it. You can pull wheelies with it faster than a wheely king will go!

The two vehicles are totally different . the E-savage is a 1/8th scale monster truck. The wheelie king is a tiny (compared to the e-savage) little thing good for cruising around at jogging speed and little wheelies. Get the E-savage...it would crush the wheelie king literally.

Totally different trucks with totally different purposes!!!
Wheelie King is a solid axle truck, it can be turned into a rock crawler or a good basher for really rough terrain and can go where the esavage cant, if you do the strech mod it can be about the same size.
Esavage is a independent suspension tuck, it handles better at high speeds but will get high centered where the king wont.
I really would be amazed if anyone bought the wheelie king and planned to keep it stock for wheelies, after on battery pack I removed the rear brace and ordered the links to lengthen it and reversed the chassie!

Yeah, people forget the E-savage has been about for years under a different name.

The E-savage is 1/10th scale.
I have a feeling we will see a new e-maxx and possibly an E-revo in the future with the release of the new traxxas velineon system.
I would wait and get the e-revo myself.

How about an e-JATO

More likely.
The Velinion system could be used, but it would need to be specialised for applications such as an E-revo or E-maxx. It's not heavy duty enough at the moment.

If you just want to do wheelies, get a lunchbox. Cheap, and with a decent motor, it will do 30- 35 mph. Then you still have money left over for a savage

Tamiya has some nice 4wd buggies and touring cars but some of their stuff just looks like a 5 year old should be playing with it.
I bought my wheely king for $130 shipped on ebay NIB. It was only 2wd but for $35 extra it is now 4wd. The wheely king is pretty slow stock though. Nothing a nice 17t motor wont fix.
