Default MGT fans... Check it out!

Big News from AE is something smaller. Their MGT made waves in the MT market many years ago. While it was the best track at that time the truck remained unchanged over the years. Smaller is En Vogue right now and making that leap to something smaller is the new Mini MGT, and while we can tell you just how big the little truck is we're guessing it would be about the size of a 1/10-scale GT. We'll keep you posted with more images as they are released.

Official Press Release.

The Mini MGT 3.0 is a chip off the old block

Inspired by the overwhelming popularity and success of Team Associated’s original MGT, the Mini MGT 3.0 packs all the same dirt-kicking performance into a compact 1:10 scale package. The Mini MGT 3.0 brings with it all of the features: a 2-speed automatic transmission with reverse, eight coil-over oil-filled shocks, full precision ball bearings, and specially designed Team Associated all-terrain tires, just to name a few! The Mini MGT comes factory assembled with a painted body, ready for you to fire up and rip up the road!

• All steel differential internal components for ultimate durability
• Dual drilled brake rotors fitted with a unique alignment device that keeps the brakes friction free until engaged
• Specially designed tire to combine excellent performance in all conditions
• Heavy duty metal-gear hi-torque servo
• 2-speed automatic transmission with reverse has an optimized gear ratio for awesome acceleration
• Ultra rigid extruded aluminum chassis optimized for the rigors of off-road use
• 14.0mm steel drive hexes
• Elliptical “buffer†style bumpers that easily withstand heavy impacts
• Trophy truck inspired styling
• Team Associated 18 Pro two-stroke nitro engine with pull-start
• Eight oil-filled independent coil-over shock absorbers
• Sealed radio box
• 28 precision ball bearings
• 110cc fuel tank for long run time
• Team Associated XP3 radio system, glow igniter and fuel bottle included!

Im thinking thats gotta be about t-maxx size... Having 8 shocks, and a 2-speed with reverse...

Im thinkin it might be more like the hotbodies 1/10 4wd truck, but who knows, i really wanna see more pics, to see if it has the extruded chassis like its bigger brother, i love my MGT, so hopefully its smaller than a tmaxx, i want a stadium truck sized mini MGT

Woooo[X(] The revo gots a new contender on the race track. I would of still like to seen an updated version of the mgt rather than making a smaller one but still cool.

If anything it kinda looks like one of there trucks already, Thunder Tiger - SSK v2 1:10th RTR 4WD Nitro Monster Truck
new mgt

old thunder tiger

http://www.acehobby.com/ace/TTR6713.htm
Maybe AE took it over and re did it? it has same motor, tranny, etc...

Thunder tiger owns AE, just to clear that up.

the thunder tiger one is a flat chassis single shock 1/10 MT, the Mini MGT is a extruded chassis design, just like its big brother, no one and i mean no one has done this chassis type other than thundertiger/associated. Its very different in looks, and design. Hopefully this thing will be at a good price, cause i know il be picking one up, and hopefully they release it under thunder tiger to, as its alot easier to get thunder tiger stuff in aus than AE stuff

really i think its gonna be stadium truck size, not monster truck size, well im hoping, i dont really see the point of releasing a 1/10 MT when they have a 1/8 MT which basically is exactly the same.

Time will tell though

There very differnt the tmaxx and MGT, yes theres parts that are basically the same, knuckles, arms etc, but that stops about there, firstly its larger, it has a BB motor, the motor and tranny is a side to side setup, like the LST, quick note, the MGT was the first to use this setup, it has a extruded chassis design, (a first in MTs), and yeah lol

i think , that 1/10 isnt really 'mini' , but i guess as long as its smaller than the original mgt...most of the time the difference between 1/8 and 1/10 is too subtle for me, but thats just me...

i could see how racers would like this truck, but that's about it. IMO it was released so AE had a competitor in the MT class once again. that's what AE is all about, having their products on the podium.

I 100% agree with you and even though its cool and all its just AE trying to top everyone else.

Since its 1/10 is it going to be easier to break now. Or is it just like its big bro and tough as nails.
I just hope they fixed that reverse problem and shimmed the diffs.
