Default Cheap+good quality

Hi guys, I'm usualy on a forum all about traxxas rc's, but i now would like to get a nitro rc monster truck. The problem is, i can only spend at the most $250 for the truck.
So what are some good quality cheap nitro rc monster tucks for a beginer to nitro?

Thanks!

good quality and cheap are not things that generally go hand in hand when it comes to nitro r/c,if its new and cheap you can bet the company that produces it has cut corners some where.IMO,i would take the 250 and buy a used r/c from a mainstream company(HPI,LOSI,TRAXXAS)

Maybe you should Wait till you have more Cash........Nitro Tucks aren't Cheap to Run....
By the Time you Add Batts/Charger/Fuel .....Plus The Parts that Break.......It Adds up Quick and $250 won't buy much of a Truck.......

Now if you've had a Nitro before and knew what to Expect.......You could buy a Used Truck like this..... http://lstforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10332
But I don't like to recommend a Used Truck to a Newb as they can be a Big PITA if your not sure what to Look for.......

For $250 your best bet is to buy used.

I just bought a used Savage 25 for 250 including shipping. It has HPI Low Gravity TVP plates and FIN Low gravity Motor Plate
Purple RPM Arms Front and Back with -2 degree setup.
HPI brake upgrade (Twin Metal Plates and pads)
Futaba Digital System Magnum 2PL
XTM 24.7 Motor with Rotostart plate with 1/2 of a gallon on it
8 Purple spring shocks
HPI Tune Pipe
GPM Front and Sway Bars
Proline Bow-Ties
Integy Air Filter
Hitec 645 High Torque Metal Gear for Steering and High Torque for Brake and Throttle.

I think used it deffinitly the way to go.

If your new I would start with used and hope it comes with parts. It's easy to break parts even when you know what your doing. Hope you like working on stuff it's almost as fun as killing them[>:]
