Default Biggest, baddest..

Hey all.. just wanting to know what the biggest, baddest, fastest engine is out right now? Will be going into an LST for bashing purposes.. cost isn't really much of a factor.. just want to be reassured i can smoke a few friends with it :P (one reason i've had the sudden rush back into this hobby) Help's appreciated, thanks

Ohh, cost is a factor, but not much.. i'd still like to know what's what and what i'm dealing with nowadays. thanks

The LRP Spec 3 will not dissapoint awsome loe end with crazy top end. And it keeps a good tune, unless the weather dramatically changes.

i don't even think that CEN engine would fit into my LST >.>

I've been looking at the Nova 528.. always deep down wanted it. The LRP Spec 3 doesn't look bad either..

the genesis engine wont fit i have one and i tried besides the max rpm on the cen engine is only 28,500 which is way slower than the stock lst2 engine 35,000 and also that is why the gen has a three speed tranny and it is about 40% heavier so it needs the extra h.p. to move it

New Era makes a conversion kit for a .46 http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi...=&part_id=2334 ..still not the best choice of mills, though. [IMO]

Anyone experienced here will tell you that the top two engines that will make anything fly are the Nova 528 or STS 30. The LRP comes close and so does the Picco .28, but, they can only come close enough

Well you either dont know how to sealor properly tune an engine cause thats all an STS needs, its no different then a Nova, only difference is its $300 cheaper. Some people will always be biased. May I ask if you've ever owned one?

I generally don't comment unless I have direct experience.

V2 STS30 shortly after 1.5 gallons of break in, main bearing let go.

I wasted time and money putting decent carbs on my STS's.

Spent some $$ on some Boca bearings and replaced the rod on the STS21T right after breakin.

Rewarded with your typical STS crank failure.

Loved the way the STS21T ran and it got excellent fuel mileage, decided to risk another crank.

Same story, now down 2 cranks.

I gave my last STS30 away and all my STS21T parts. They make good power but if I could have all the time and money I wasted on them back I would get a LRP Spec III, Picco P3 or go for the higher dollar Italian mills.

As far as I know the OS28 is not roto-start compatible and will not work in a LST.

I still stand by STS, the cranks blowing just show how much insane RPM it puts out compared to the other .28's through .32's. I dunno how you could have such bad luck with yours... I still have to put some more fuel through mine before I shim it and I really start pushing it. Not to mention Ill be modding it as soon as I get a dremel, I love mine Best $170 Ive ever spent on an engine/pipe combo[8D] Hopefully the new O.S. .28 wont be a turd like its big brother
