Hey guy,
Correct me if i am wrong but don't these nitro engines run exactly like a desiel? Don't they use the glow plug to ignite then the run on compression after that? Thanks, drew

Not exactly. the engines run on a sem-diesel principle but the main source of combustion is not compression but the catalytic reaction between the platinum on the glow plug and the methanol. It is possible (but hard) to start an engine without a glow plug but glow adds the necessary heat to speed up the intial reaction.
