I saw a picture of a clutch type 2 speed by wolfpack radials in RC Car magazine. Does anyone know more about this? Wolfpack radials website isn't much help. I have a HPI Nitro MT and was looking for a possible 2 speed upgrade.

Yes, I have seen it and I know Wolfang pretty well.
What he did is work out the stock finger clutch of the NMT 2 speed and he did his own design.
You can imagine adding a second finger to the original clutch, and it will basicaly work as a clutch.
I can't show you pics or anything but it wasn't that difficult to mod.
Just a bit curious, but why do you want a clutch type 2 speed ?

I do some off-roading and am worried about having to maintain the one-way bearing and possibly breaking fingers or something. HPI reccomends the two-speed for on road only.

just dont thrash it offroad and you will be alright if you put a cover over the spur underneath thats more protection, as for upgrading that 2 speed be careful, if it doesnt spit gears out at you i wouldnt mess with it
