Fuel is eating the chrome plating off my wheels
I've noticed the fuel from the exhaust is starting to eat the chrome plating off my T-Maxx's stock rims. This doesn't bother me too much as I plan to replace these rims with a set of the Proline Weld 40 series wheels. However, I'll be extremely pissed if this happens to the new rims. I've noticed Proline claims these rims are made with a different chrome plating technique, I'm just wondering if this makes these rims fuel proof. Have any of you with these rims noticed whether or not the fuel is affecting them?

maybe you could spray them with clearcoat????? it may fade the shiny chrome look, I dont recommend it on your new ones but maybe you could try it on your stockers and see if it effects apperence.
