New toy. MGT 8.0

RE: New toy. MGT 8.0
yeah, I'd like to know too why it's SO much lighter. the new tires are a bit lighter, but the new tranny has all metal gears now and the new engine has to be a tad bit heavier since it's bigger. The new truck also has bigger hex's and a longer rear bumper.
edit: I am a slow typer. I have the 8.0 tires on my 4.6 truck. I cant say my truck now is WAY lighter. Nice purchase though, I like that body

RE: New toy. MGT 8.0
The 8.0 is lighter than the 4.6???[&:]
According to AE's site, the [link=http://www.rc10.com/ae/mgt8/mgt8_specs.htm]8.0 weighs 5900g[/link] and the [link=http://www.rc10.com/ae/mgt/mgt_specs.htm]4.6 weighs 5622g[/link]. So 8.0 = 13 pounds and 4.6 = 12.4 pounds. I can see the tires being lighter, but I'd think the rest is either heavier or the same between the 2. Though I'm sure it feels much lighter with all that extra power.
