Nice pair of trucks you got there.. I see you're running a Mach instead of the big 8.0...

The Monster Mutt body starts as a 51 Mercury body from Parma. The original full scale truck is a modified 49 Mercury, but the 51 body is all I could find.

The body gets modified enough that it doesn't really matter. The grandson really likes it, but I really hate to tear it up with my style of driving.

This used to be my Grave digger truck that I beat on like someone else owned it

I am building another truck just for beating on, does anyone know what body I can modify to look like the Tom Meents Maximum Destruction SUV truck?

Loading pictures is a challenge with my lightning fast 56 k dial up, so one at a time I guess.

Thanks...its actually a 4.6 with a 8.0 body. I brought the Mini brand new and won the MGT on ebay for $130 with the mach 427 already installed. The 427 ran great for about 10 tanks, then... Sadly the engine wouldn't start anymore...waiting on a brand new Ofna Force .32 from ebay ($80)

Nice body! My wife LOVES the Monster Mutt truck, I need to get one of those bodies and let her make one. For the Maximum Destruction body, Parma has one (or had one I'm not sure) under the name Team Meents. It doesn't have the Max D decals though.

What did you use to make the tongue and ears? I really want one to make one. I think my grandkids will love it and my wife of 37 years said she might drive it!

The tongue was made from a hard plastic childs drinking cup. Just cut out a curved section and it is bolted to an aluminum square bolted onto the original front bumper mounts.

The "tail" is a GM screw on antenna covered in three different sizes of fuel hose and blended together with a grinder and covered with felt. It bolts to another aluminum square on the rear bumper mounts.

The "ears" were pieces of imitation leather scraps from the local Walmart. In describing the size of imitation leather pieces I wanted, the lady kept asking what I wanted such short pieces for, so.... I told her! I am making ears for my dog! She thought I was loosing my marbles. Maybe I am at that............

robwiljas, thanks for the info on the Max-D body, I"ll do some more searching.

My kid went ballistics when he saw this truck, nice job.

Traxxas Chevrons on HPI Warlock rims. I was running Smartech MagicWheel Tires and rims since they were lighter, taller and a softer compound but the first 3 WOT passes on tarmac I seen a chunk of rubber and a strip of foam fly up about 15ft in the air....

(DJMEDIC) "no problem" thanks to you for posting those awesome pics here. Let me comment on something? for better results in the snow get some sand paws for that truck, they work great.
